Dylan Walker is recognised as one of Europe’s leading marine mammal observers, having spent much of the last ten years conducting cetacean and seabird surveys across the eastern North Atlantic from Iceland to the Canary Islands. During this time he has been working on his photographic portfolio, which includes images of many offshore regions of Europe and a number of the less-frequently photographed species. His personal highlight came in July 1997 when he photographed a True's Beaked Whale in the Bay of Biscay, the first confirmed sighting of this species alive at sea. Dylan has worked for a number of organisations as a marine mammal researcher, consultant, and tour guide, including the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, Joint Nature Conservation Committee, Sea Mammal Research Unit and The Company of Whales. He is also currently Chief Executive Officer of ORCA.
